In Spring 2017, we decided that due to demand that we would allow a small number of Yearling Bulls that were specifically suited to the needs of beef and dairy clients would be available on farm via private selection on farm. This does not take away any of the bulls that we will be carrying through to sell as Rising Two Year olds at our annual sale in June.
These yearling bulls are for specific requirements and as we do not lease bulls out to the industry (due to disease risk and injury risk as we operate a closed herd – with any stud sires that we purchase for use within the stud needing to pass strict testing and quarantine) by offering this small selection of yearling bulls for sale, this allows us to meet the requirements of those herds that would have liked to lease a bull.
